Matriarqè is a bag brand founded by female designers, aiming to offer better quality for longer life. Our collections include a constantly evolving timeless perspective and an environmentally friendly production approach.

Born in Italy by Cemre Coşkun and Aslı Aymalı, it is handcrafted by talented craftsmen in İzmir, Türkiye.

Matriarqè is inspired by the concept of the divine feminine along with the spirit of natural equality. The divine feminine is the feminine aspect of the power that connects the Earth. Known as Mother Nature, it is a matriarchal archetype found in various mythologies of the world with its life-giving and nurturing aspects of nature. The inspiration for Matriarqè is derived from the Latin word "matri-archè", meaning "the ruler known as mother nature, origin from the mother".

Our empowering designs are inspired by the aesthetic and mystical values of the ancient world and the rediscovery of these hidden values hidden in history. The world of the goddesses is a great inspiration for today’s women, as a reminder of the feminine power to overcome challenges.
